Scott Lewis of the Best Connection driving agency has won the 2018 DAF Transport Efficiency Driver Challenge – a UK-wide competition open to DAF and non-DAF drivers.
Twenty drivers were shortlisted and invited to a two-day final, held at Millbrook in May. As well as driving skills, they undertook off-road tests and were assessed on other practical matters, such as vehicle knowledge and defect reporting.
DAF’s New LF, New CF and New XF ranges were used for the driving appraisals.
Lewis edged out runners-up Chris Ray, from Waitrose, and Colin Court from construction materials supplier Hanson UK.
