The shortlisted drivers will take part in practical and knowledge-based assessments during an all-expenses-paid, two-day, live event at the Millbrook testing facility in Bedfordshire in May.
The top three will be crowned as the DAF Transport Efficiency Champions and will go on to participate in a driving challenge, taking them across the continent and finishing at the home of DAF Trucks in Eindhoven.
The competition is open to any driver, including non-DAF drivers. Applicants must have a clean C+E Licence, a Driver Card and a Driver CPC.
As a minimum, drivers will be expected to demonstrate high standards of driving capability across different trucks and driving conditions, as well as excellent knowledge of road legislation, vehicles, defect reporting and pre-use checks.
