Said to be the only tyre manufacturer to use this direct online route to market, Apollo says its web platform offers buyers access to products “without unnecessary ancillary expenses” and offers “performance tyres at cost-effective prices”.
Launched at last month’s CV Show, the truck and bus radial range is designed for the UK and Europe, and underwent a five-year testing and development programme.
“The new range was designed for Europe and extensively tested over 250 million kilometres across six European countries, in a wide range of applications, by around 50 fleets and driver partners,” says Benoit Rivallant, Apollo’s group head of global product management for commercial vehicles.
The website calculates order pricing according to volume, delivery slot and payment method, with discounts available for larger orders, longer lead times and payment in advance.
The new range is available initially in the UK, Ireland, Belgium and the Netherlands, with other countries to follow soon.
