The company will replace 50 existing vehicles with 75 7.5 tonne DAF LF trucks while also adding 25 to its growing fleet across sites nationwide.
The new vehicles have an increased payload which will play a role in building on the productivity and sustainability of ArrowXL’s operations, reducing carbon dioxide emissions. The PACCAR engines are said to provide higher outputs and greater torque, while reducing fuel consumption and feature selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology to meet the Euro 4 and Euro 5 emission standards.
Louise White, national fleet compliance and admin manager at ArrowXL, said: “The new DAF LF trucks were chosen specifically for their size and fuel efficiency to provide the company with much needed additional capacity to cope with our growing client demand. With driver safety a key commitment the vehicles feature front and rear facing cameras and are equipped with a resilient tail lift designed to support the safe handling of a broad range of heavy and large consumer products.”
