Furniture retailer Arighi Bianchi has taken delivery of its first Euro 6 trucks, two DAF LF Aerobody 7.5-tonners, which have been given a special livery to mark the retailer's 160th anniversary.
The retailer's fleet is now exclusively DAF LF 7.5-tonne trucks, which are used to deliver products from its Macclesfield base throughout the UK and into Europe.
Arigi Bianchi switched to DAF six years ago and, says distribution centre manager Steve Whiting, has found them to be "reliable, cost effective on servicing, and hard-wearing vehicles".
The LF Paccar Aerobody, built at the Leyland Trucks plant in Lancashire, has a set of fairings and side collars around the cab to improve airflow, as well as a rear diffuser. The truck is said to be up to 8% more economical than a vehicle with a conventional body.
It's available as a 7.5-, 10- or 12-tonne option, with three body lengths, four- or six-cylinder Paccar PX-5 and PX-7 engines, as well as a range of tail-lifts and accessories.
Arighi Bianchi's vehicles will be serviced by local dealer AM Bell.
