Bradley Transport finds Volvo ‘a great fit’

Tractor Units
European and UK haulier Bradley Transport has taken delivery of 10 new Volvo FH-460 4x2 Globetrotter tractors, describing Volvo as “a great fit” for the business.

Supplied by Dennison Commercials, the new trucks follow the Ireland-based operator’s acquisition of five Volvos earlier this year. The latest additions are powered by Volvo Euro-6 step C engines, with a 1,300-litre fuel capacity and I-shift automated gearbox.

Each tractor is equipped with Volvo’s Dynafleet system and supplied with a Gold R&M contract.

The investment means that Bradley Transport’s fleet is now 50% Volvo.

“In 2016, as part of the company’s vehicle replacement and renewal procedure, we undertook a review of our trucks,” explains Peter Bradley, managing director.

Tests and demo trucks followed, “but it wasn’t just the vehicles that we were testing,” he says. “We were seeking a dealer that could supply us with a reliable, fuel-efficient fleet but which also provided a high level of customer support afterwards.”

Bradley adds: “After extensive trials over several months, we found Volvo to be a great fit for our business.”

The team at Dennison, he says, “provided an unbeatable level of support and really went that extra mile... Their customer service is second to none.”
