Bridgestone has made a million-pound investment that will see it manufacture more hot-cure products within its retread tyre offering at its factory in Bourne, Lincolnshire.

The company will manufacture 17 new products under the Bandag Hotread name, which will be available for heavy goods vehicles (HGV), buses and coaches.
David Almazán, Bridgestone’s commercial business unit director, North Region, said: “There is a move towards the lowest total cost of ownership of product, combined with increasing awareness of the need for a more sustainable and circular economy where recycling is standard.
“Bridgestone is fully committed in this regard, which is why we have made such a significant expansion of our retread range.”
