Maxi Haulage chooses Bridgestone fleet wide

Publish Date: Updated Date: Tyres & Retreads
Maxi Haulage says it has agreed a fleet deal with Bridgestone largely because of its retreading facility in Lincolnshire and the tyre company’s Total Tyre Care approach.

“There were several key drivers for adopting a Bridgestone new and retread tyre policy for our fleet, but ultimately it was a combination of the performance of a premium Bridgestone new tyre, complimented by the Bandag retread offering,” confirms Maxi Haulage fleet engineer Steve Sugden.

“After visiting Bridgestone’s retread facility we were confident we would be using a well-engineered, reliable, quality product,” he continues.

“The Total Tyre Care management approach will ensure that we realise maximum life of the tyres, while the visibility provided by the Total Tyre Manager reporting system gives us confidence that Bridgestone will add real value to our partnership.”

The deal coincides with the 10th anniversary of the acquisition of Bridgestone’s retread factory (Bulldog) in Bourne, which produces roughly 50:50 mould cure to pre-cure, compared with the historically mould cure dominated UK retreading market.

Meanwhile, Bridgestone is also unveiling a new retread tyre, the Bandag FuelTech, which, it says, harnesses “advanced tread compounds and innovative tread design” to deliver fuel efficiency alongside improved tyre life and reduced rolling resistance.
