Bridgestone is to showcase what it describes as a holistic fleet tyre care service offering at the 2014 CV Show.
Hall 5 will host its Total Tyre Care package, which the company says allows operators to keep tight control over tyre-related costs, courtesy of three services: Total Tyre Life, Total Tyre Services and Total Tyre Systems.
Bridgestone product and marketing manager Andy Mathias explains that Total Tyre Life is designed to maximise tyre life, reducing tyre cost/km over the lifecycle, using Bridgestone premium new tyres and Bandag retreads.
Meanwhile, Total Tyre Services covers tyre inspections and technical advice. Then Total Tyre Systems provides visibility of fleet tyre condition, using Bridgestone's tyre pressure monitoring and the latest ToolBox Application.
According to Mathias, visitors to the CV Show will also see the new Bridgestone Toolbox Touch – a digital fleet management system based on Windows 8 for tablets, and delivered as three distinct Monitor, Manage and Maintain packages.
He explains that tyre data is accumulated and registered on the Toolbox, which then provides user-friendly analysis and reports covering monthly expenses, pressures, removal causes, retreadability, tyre life, cost per kilometre, inventory control, etc.
"The app represents a big advance in both technology and efficiency for Bridgestone," comments Mathias. "It records inspection of tyres on vehicles and quickly generates reports for fleet consulting services."
Fleets visiting the CV Show in April will have a chance to win a one-year Monitor Package free of charge, he says – including the provision of a tyre and maintenance package tailor-made to their fleet requirements.
"We are proud of our Total Tyre Care offering and we believe it gives us a big advantage over our competitors," comments.
"The CV Show is our most significant opportunity of the year," he adds.
