Haulier Caledonian Logistics has taken delivery of its first new series Volvo FL rigids, which have gone into service at its Inverness operating centre.
Supplied by Volvo Truck & Bus North and Scotland, the Aberdeen-based operator's two new additions are 18-tonne gvw 4x2 rigids.
Both feature the D8K250, six-cylinder, 7.7-litre engine rated at 250bhp and matched to a manual gearbox, and are anticipated to clock up 80,000km a year.
The vehicles have dry-freight bodywork built by Tekbo, of Clydebank, and are equipped with Palfinger tail-lifts.
The trucks are supplied with a three-year repair and maintenance contract, delivered by the dealer.
