Cartwright Group to go large at CV Show 2016

Bodybuilder Cartwright expects to run with its largest ever stand at the upcoming CV Show (26—28 April 2016, NEC, Birmingham) and will also be taking a separate stand for its new Cartwright Conversions division.

The Cartwright Group, which had a record year for sales in 2015, says it will be displaying a 3.5 tonne rigid box van, 7.5 tonne fridge box van and an Asda liveried trailer on its main stand in Hall 3.

Also on display will be the Cartwright urban trailer in Culina livery – a first of its kind insulated curtainsider, fitted with command steer, tail lift and a single temperature fridge.

Three Cartwright trailers are also due to be exhibited in the display area outside the main NEC halls. These will include the Acclaro with extra aerodynamic features, for customer The Malcolm Group, alongside two examples from Cartwright Rentals.

Cartwright Conversions, the new Cartwright Group division specialising van conversions, makes its debut at this year’s CV Show, launching its new vehicle racking products as well as exhibiting a re-styled welfare conversion.

In separate news, Cartwright has also now launched its Cartwright Apprenticeship Programme, with places for up to 25 apprentices.

The apprenticeships are targeted at 16–19 year olds, who are promised a chance to develop a wide range of skills, including welding, hydraulic, electrical and air fitting and testing, general fitting and assembly, machine operation, finishing and pre-delivery inspection.

Commencing with just a one week block induction at the Stockport Engineering Training Association (SETA), within the first year apprentices undergo six rotations across departments so they can experience each stage of the manufacturing process and gain the skills required.
