Evesham-based Cotswold Roller Hire has taken delivery of a 26 tonne Mercedes-Benz Axor 6x2 rigid, mounted with an Andover Trailers plant body, with single crank beavertail.
The vehicle is an addition to the fleet and will be based at the company's new depot in Ludgershall, on the border between Hampshire and Wiltshire, which opened in September 2011.
Located just 10 miles from Andover Trailers' factory, it will be used to transport equipment within the company's 1,500-strong plant fleet, which is offered for hire between its eight depots throughout England and Wales.
Neville Thomas, managing director of Cotswold Roller Hire, says: "Strength and reliability are our number one priorities when specifying new vehicles for the fleet. An Andover Trailers plant body delivers this in spades.
"We'll be keeping this truck on the fleet until it's about 10 years old," he confirms. "Even then, it will be the chassis that has worn out and not the bodywork."
