Currie European says it has solved its fuel security problems by fitting 65 of its trucks with TISS' TankSafe Impregnable Fuel security and safety device and TISS' SenderSafe bracket.
Operations director Allan Jamieson says the firm had received many recommendations from respected industry contacts that "Impregnable was the most effective device at preventing siphoning".
His view now: "The performance fully supports all TISS' claims regarding offering the most effective, high quality, robust protection against siphoning.
"This deserved reputation for quality is evident with all TISS products – hence our decision to also fit the TISS SenderSafe device."
TankSafe Impregnable prevents fuel theft, because of its float-valve, which locks off. Meanwhile, the SenderSafe unit is a stainless steel bracket permanently secured over the fuel tank's sender unit to prevent theft from this access point.
