These are for individual vehicle approval (IVA) tests of lorries, trailers, light goods vehicles, buses and coaches, specialist vehicles (and cars).
It says: “A limited number of IVA tests are still going ahead during the coronavirus outbreak. These are being done under a priority system. If you want to be considered for a priority test, you need to send a separate application for a priority test after you have applied. If you do not want a priority test, your test will take place after 22 June 2020.”
The link to apply for a priority examination is below.
Operators who wish to book will need to specify for which type of vehicle a priority assessment is requested:
- vehicles critical to the Coronavirus response (ambulance/other medical transport/emergency services vehicle/hearse);
- goods vehicles being used to support the Coronavirus response (proof of loads carried required);
- vehicles manufactured in Great Britain;
- European approved vehicles with an expired certificate of conformity;
- imported vehicles;
- amateur built or rebuilt vehicles.
A limited number of theory and practical driving tests are also being conducted for learner drivers who are ‘critical workers’.
