Volvo Trucks has announced that a Euro 6 version of its flagship FH16 tractor unit will be available from spring 2014.
With a new generation of 16-litre engines, it will be offered at three output levels: 750bhp (3,550Nm), 650bhp (3,150Nm) and 550bhp (2,900Nm).
All three engine types are mated to Volvo's I-Shift automated transmission. The 550bhp version is also available as a 2,800Nm torque variant for a manual gearbox.
Orders for the Euro 6 FH16 will be taken from March, with production scheduled for early June 2014.
