First Bus has ordered 91 buses – all StreetDeck and StreetLite Max vehicles – from Wrightbus, bringing the total number from this major bus manufacturer across the national First Bus fleet to more than 3,500.
The order includes 71 StreetDeck double deck buses, 10 of which will be fitted with high-specification USBs on seats with special livery.
All buses are Euro 6 and include Wrightbus’ Micro Hybrid 2 technology, which powers pneumatics, hydraulic and electrical systems and achieves fuel savings claimed to range up to 10%.
They will also be pre-wired for RTPI (real time passenger information), and ve equipped with 14 CCTV cameras and E-leather seating.
The remaining 20 StreetLite Max single deck buses have been specified with Daimler engines and also take Wright’s Micro Hybrid 2 KERS.
They too will have pre-wired RPTI, 10 camera CCTV systems and E-leather seating.
