First Euro 6 Renault trucks for Seven Lincs

Tractor Units Euro 6
Container transport operator Seven Lincs has taken delivery of its first Renault trucks – three Euro 6 Range T 460.25 6x2 TML tractor units.
Supplied by dealer Renault Trucks Felixstowe, the new tractors join Seven Lincs' existing 50-strong DAF fleet, also based in Felixstowe. "The new Range T is a real step up for Renault – a high-performance vehicle that's very well equipped with the latest technology," says Tim Forman, managing director. "It's easy to drive, with a gearbox that is a marked improvement on previous models." Fuel economy was a key consideration, he says, so the vehicles were also specified with Renault's Fuel Eco package, which includes Optifuel driver training. On fuel consumption, Forman comments: "The trucks have turned in a pretty impressive performance in their first week, so we're looking forward to seeing how low they can go once the drivers have had their Optifuel training and the trucks are fully run in." The new Renault tractor units will cover 1,500 miles per week and are the first Euro 6 trucks to join Seven Lincs' fleet.
