Go-Ahead has retained MiX Telematics to deliver telematics for its 4,500-strong nationwide fleet of buses for another three years.
IT and strategy director Enrique Fernandez-Pino says the bus operator will continue to use MiX’s Fleet Manager system – delivered as a web-based service – sticking to the approach used since 2007.
“[MiX Telematics’] team works closely with us to identify new ways for the Fleet Manager solution to deliver savings, safety improvements, maintenance benefits and driver engagement,” comments Fernandez-Pino.
Other new aspects of this contract include upgrading of Go-Ahead’s reporting system to the new MiX Telematics DynaMiX platform as well as direct access to the MyMiX driver engagement platform.
MyMiX encourages continuous improvement among drivers by enabling them to view their own performance data and compare it to that of their colleagues.
