The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has agreed to acquire tyre inspection technology firm Ventech Systems from Grenzebach Maschinenbau.
Ventech Systems delivers measuring devices for the vehicle industry. Its fully automated tyre inspection system checks tyre pressure, tread depth and vehicle weight for buses, trucks, cars and other vehicles.
Goodyear says the acquisition of Ventech will boost its Goodyear Proactive Solutions business, launched last year.
The deal is expected to be finalised by the end of this year.
