Goodyear has upgraded its UltraGrip winter tyre range, promising improved braking and grip thanks to the introduction of new technology.
The tyre maker has added traction protect technology, which features a new resin to improve deformation and reformation capabilities, allowing braking forces to be better converted into grip, it says.
Also new is winter grip technology, a new compound mixture giving better rubber elasticity at low temperatures, improving grip on snow and ice.
The range includes UltraGrip Cargo for light commercial vehicles: the new winter tyre offers “outstanding braking performance” on snow and ice, and lowers the total cost of ownership by increasing the tyre’s mileage, according to Goodyear.
