The Winter i*cept LV promises increased mileage of 10% compared to conventional models, according to the tyre maker. Its optimised groove structure on the shoulder block helps to prevent irregular wear, boosting mileage and economy. It is available in 24 sizes from 15in to 17in with tread widths from 175-235mm and aspect ratios from 75-60 in the R and T speed indices.
Hankook is also launching the Vantra ST AS 2, an all-season 3PMSF tyre for vans and light trucks. Incorporating ‘ice-philic technology’, the tyre offers increased grip at lower temperatures. The tyre is available in 15 sizes from 14in to 16in, with tread widths of 185-23 mm and aspect ratios of 80-60 in the speed indices Q, R, S, T and H, and the company says more sizes are being developed.
