Tyre manufacturer Hankook is upgrading its range of light- to medium-duty truck tyres and is now supplying tyres for Mercedes-Benz Atego trucks.
Hankook's upgrade focuses on the AH11 steer axle and DH05+ drive axle tyres, which now, says the manufacturer, offer reduced rolling resistance, better handling, high wet braking and enhanced durability.
The AH11 (all position, medium haul) product features two-tiered tapered shoulders, multi-kerfs on grooves and large-angled groove walls. A wide tread design improves traction on wet surfaces.
The DH05+ (drive axle, medium haul) tyre has a cross-section pattern design and deep grooves for better traction.
Both models have now passed testing to be fitted, in various sizes, to the Euro 6 Mercedes Atego.
