Hankook has extended its commercial vans and transporter tyre line-up with the introduction of the Hankook Vantra LT.
According to the company, its new light truck tyre was developed in view of the higher demands placed on passenger and goods transport vehicles in regional traffic.
Durability, fuel efficiency and mileage all played key roles during development, as well as safety-related driving characteristics, such as short breaking distances and wet performance.
The design, which is now available in 34 dimensions, features a sidewall protect shield and optimised groove location with durable contact patch. Hankook says that means increased performance and greater safety at high speeds, as well as reduced tread wear and improved fuel efficiency – by up to 13% against its predecessor.
In addition, three-channel wide central grooves and 3D lateral grooves enable fast water dispersion to reduce hydroplaning and offer superior performance in wet and even cold weather conditions.
"Quality and technological leadership in all product categories are key focal points for Hankook," explains Jin-Wook Choi, president, Hankook Tire and CEO for Europe.
"With the Vantra LT, we are targeting the specific needs of customers that are interested in a tyre that delivers constant performance and safety over a long service life, and helps with saving money and protecting the environment."
