Bulk haulage business John Beaty Transport has taken delivery of two Euro 6 Renault Range T tractor units, which are providing, it says, "whopping payload" and "impressive" fuel performance.
The Penrith-based operator initially looked at acquiring one vehicle, but decided to go for two when it saw the performance of the Range T 460 mid-lift 6x2 tractor.
"Our new Range Ts have only been in operation for a few weeks and I've been delighted with the performance so far," confirms Stuart Beaty, managing director.
"I am really noticing how light they are, which is crucial for tipper operations, and they are delivering a whopping 29.5-tonne payload to boot. The fuel consumption has also been impressive, delivering up to 8.5mpg."
The trucks were specified with leather seats for additional comfort. "As a business owner, I know only too well that happy drivers are more productive drivers," explains Beaty.
The vehicles are the first Euro 6 Renaults to join the operator's 30-strong bulk tipper and blower fleet.
