The operator is the sole contractor for timber processing group James Jones & Sons, so vehicle uptime is crucial for its 50-strong fleet of artics, rigids and trailers.
William Nicol previously used an inspection pit at the workshop, but the site was susceptible to flooding due to the high water table. So the operator decided to install the ST4175 four-post lift, from Stertil Koni.
The 17-tonne capacity, four-post vehicle lift gives engineers full access to the underside of raised vehicles. The lift has a 9,000mm-long platform, with a low drive-on height of 240mm.
The lift is operated with electronic controls, with the control panel mounted on one of the columns. A patented gravity locking mechanism is permanently enabled for added safety.
