Supplied by dealer Renault Trucks Felixstowe, two of the Ipswich-based haulier's new Range Ts replace its final outgoing Ivecos.
Hawk Express, which previously had a four-marque fleet, is using the Range Ts for general groupage operations across the UK and cites fuel efficiency and dealer back-up as key criteria for the decision.
General manager Richard Davies explains: "We've had Renault Premiums in our fleet and found them to be extremely reliable vehicles.
"Significantly, we've also found Renault Trucks to be very supportive of our business and having that understanding, back up and support together with reliable vehicles and a cost-effective package was the winning combination."
The vehicles are "packing a punch", he says, adding: "They are very good on fuel economy and we are getting in the high 10mpgs, which is pretty impressive for a new vehicle that is still running in."
