Supplied by dealer HRVS, in Sheffield, the new additions have all been specified with the Easyshift automatic gearbox. Each has a Solomon multi-compartment refrigerated body with the deep-frozen section at the rear of the body and chilled compartment at the front, with refrigeration by Carrier Xarios MT systems.
The Derbyshire-based operator acquired its first Isuzu vehicles in 2015 to assess payoad and reliability. “They proved to be really good value and economical to operate,” confirms Ian Mycock, general manager.
“As a result, when we needed to implement the latest fleet replacement programme at 7.5 tonnes, Isuzu fitted the bill perfectly.”
Isuzu’s back-up service also clinched the deal, adds Mycock. “The national Isuzu Care programme is well-established and extremely professional in operation. Having had two years’ experience of the Isuzu support, I can honestly say that their approach to supporting customers is absolutely first class.”
The vehicles work from depots around the UK and are expected to be in service for five years. They are supplied with five-year R&M contracts and will cover 50,000km each during operation.
