UK pet and aquatic wholesaler Pedigree Wholesale has upgraded its 27-strong distribution fleet and included an Isuzu 7.5 tonne rigid in the mix for the first time.
A new Isuzu Forward N75.190 7.5 tonne curtainsided-bodied rigid, fitted with the Easyshift semi-automated transmission and rear, tuck-away tail lift, has now gone into service.
"Within our distribution operation, we have a specific requirement for 7.5 tonne vehicles for regional deliveries that require a smaller footprint of vehicle without sacrificing either payload or economy," explains Pedigree Wholesale managing director Steve Brown.
"After careful consideration, we felt that the Isuzu 7.5 tonner ticked all the right boxes for us concerning emissions, fuel economy, payload, whole life costs and reliability," he adds.
The new truck will cover between 80,000 and 100,000kms per annum over a six-year working life, initially delivering products to customers throughout North Wales, the North of England and up to the Scottish Borders.
This latest addition to the Pedigree Wholesale fleet was supplied by local Isuzu dealer TIM Commercial Vehicle Services at Ilkeston.
