Isuzu trucks cover the ground for SQS

Three years after the first eight Isuzu 7.5-tonne trucks joined Stanmore Quality Surfacing's (SQS) fleet, the North London company has now taken delivery of a further 15 vehicles.
Dealer MC Truck & Bus supplied the trucks, all of which were specified with Isuzu's Easyshift transmission, and fitted with Thompson tipper bodies, including nearside, ram-operated side lifts. Prior to purchasing the new Isuzu Forward 7.5t trucks, SQS supplemented its fleet with short-term rental of Isuzu commercial vehicles from the MC Truck and Bus hire fleet. SQS's transport manager Geoff Stamp says the impressive payload and the popularity of the vehicles with drivers were key reasons for specifying Isuzu trucks again. "The Isuzu rigids have become very popular with us, as they suit the typical workload required within these reinstatement contracts," says Stamp. "The Isuzu chassis has a slightly lower ride height than other trucks and this eases the loading and unloading of machines, concrete slabs, kerbs and brickwork on site. The overall vehicle footprint is also a benefit as it allows us to operate these vehicles in locations where access can be restrictive," he adds. The Isuzu N75.190 7.5t rigid tipper trucks will be used by the road reinstatement company on recently gained contracts for work on behalf of various utility companies.
