Lakeside Coaches of Ellesmere, Shropshire, has taken delivery of a Volvo B9R coach with Sunsundegui bodywork.
Lakeside Coaches' new vehicle is powered by Volvo's 9-litre D9B rear engine, rated at 380bhp. The B9R is also fitted with the an I-Shift 12-speed automatic gearbox, and uses the EBS-5 brake system.
Having purchased an identical vehicle last year, Lakeside Coaches is accustomed to the B9R product, and, with more than half the operator's 27 fleet vehicles built on the Volvo chassis, the wider vehicle range too.
"I trust Volvos," comments Neal Hall, Lakeside Coaches' general manager. "The two B9Rs we had in 2012 have proven to be reliable and very fuel efficient. So when it came to finding another vehicle for use on our GB Tours contract, another B9R was the obvious choice."
