Engine manufacturer Liebherr Machines Bulle has chosen emissions busting technology from Eminox to Stage 4 emissions standards.
Eminox's SCR (selective catalytic reduction) technology will be fitted to the firm's on- and off-road machines, amounting to some 10,000 a year.
Liebherr Machines Bulle says that its choice of Eminox was in part to keep the number of exhaust variants to a minimum. Another concerned the limited space available for mounting the systems on many of its machines.
Eminox met its requirements by using novel system geometry and urea injection points coupled with advanced mixing technology.
"This has been a real development partnership between the two companies, with each complementing the other in perfecting these systems," comments Paul Canwell, project manager at Eminox.
