Marshall Fleet Solutions has supplied 10 Thermo King SLXi refrigeration unit systems to help Swindon-based OPX Logistics reduce its carbon emissions.
OPX Logistics currently has a fleet of 70 vehicles that range from Scania trucks to Euro 6 trucks but is now expanding its operations with environmentally-friendly vehicles.
The refrigeration units have been fitted to solar-powered refrigerated trailers supplied by Gray & Adams, which manufactures specialist temperature controlled and bespoke vehicles.
Developed by Thermo King, the SLXi refrigeration units are designed to deliver ultra-fresh cargo to tight schedules while downsizing operational costs and upsizing reductions in carbon dioxide impact by lowering emissions, waste, and noise pollution.
