Animal feed producer Massey Bros (Feeds) has taken delivery of a new series Volvo FM rigid 44-tonne gtw drawbar.
Supplied by dealer Thomas Hardie Commercials, the Globetrotter-cabbed, 6x2 tag-axle Volvo FM prime mover was specified with a 13-litre, D13K Euro 6 engine, rated at 500bhp and mated to the I-Shift automated gearbox.
The curtainside bodywork is by Cartwright and mountings for a Manitou forklift are fitted to both the prime mover and the new trailer.
The latest addition joins the Holmes Chapel, Cheshire-based company's 26-strong fleet, and is now transporting bagged animal feed to farms in north and mid Wales.
The vehicle will be maintained on a five-year Volvo Gold R&M contract.
