Steve Towe, chief commercial officer and UK managing director, says it’s all about the system’s new customisable reporting facility Connect Reports, which enables operators to drill down into live and archived data.
“Connect Reports gives all Connect customers a cost-effective business intelligence tool that will help them save time and money,” says Towe.
Connect Reports is designed to allow users to visualise problems by analysing their own data without having to use an external supplier.
Towe says the customisable reports are easy to create and manage, and users can auto-generate regular reporting emails to colleagues and stakeholders.
Examples of what can be achieved, he says, include: re-assign resources based on time and mileage, and over and under-utilisation of vehicles; managing fleet capacity by monitoring inactive or broken down vehicles; and optimising efficiency by controlling time-at-location, late arrivals and early stops.
He also suggests that operators could: reduce vehicle misuse by monitoring activities and journeys; cut fuel consumption by avoiding excess mileage, and changing driving behaviour; and improve safety by monitoring speeding and driving behaviour incidents.
Alex Rothwell, chief technology officer at Masternaut (pictured), says: “Our goal was to enable quick, actionable information that could be configured by the user quickly and intuitively.
“We’re now building on the unique underlying technology, and have further features planned which will open up more benefits in the future.”
