MC Truck and Bus wins Isuzu dealer challenge

Maidstone, Kent-based MC Truck and Bus, a dealer for Isuzu Truck (UK) in the south of England, has been awarded the top prize at the Isuzu Dealer Challenge 2015.

The Isuzu Dealer Challenge is about delivering customer service and technical expertise – and after 44 teams entered the qualifying stages, the top six competed in the final.

The competition is divided into two categories: one focused on aftermarket and dealers that offer Isuzu parts and servicing; and the other for dealers with both Isuzu sales and aftermarket responsibilities.

The MC Maidstone team won in the full dealership category where rounds consisted of truck sales, parts, customer care and technical workshop.

"We are absolutely thrilled by our teams' performance," says MC Group dealer principal Peter Booth, adding: "It shows clear dedication from all our departments to provide an outstanding service to our customers."

"Isuzu is such an integral part of our business and to know we are working to such high standards and delivering core values really is a great achievement."

A further prize was given to MC Maidstone technician Simon Abnett, one of two recipients of the technician award, after being judged in the competition's technical skills section.

He will now be representing the UK at Isuzu's worldwide showcase technical event, the I-1 World Grand Prix, held annually in Japan.

"The Maidstone dealership competed well in last year's competition and came in second place," recalls Isuzu Truck managing director Peter Murphy.

"To win this year demonstrates the team's commitment to our brand, our values and ultimately success."
