Mercedes sprints for the line with three awards

Mercedes-Benz is celebrating after scooping three trophies at the Commercial Fleet Awards 2015, held last week (24 September) in Telford.

Sprinter took top spot in the commercial vehicle of the year category, newly created for 2015 to include trucks and vans, having won the corresponding fleet van of the year prize in 2013.

The Sprinter was also crowned best large panel van – a title it has won for seven of the last eight years – and best van chassis derivative.

The awards are judged by a panel of industry experts.

“The Sprinter is an amazing fleet proposition and quite simply the standard by which all vans should be measured,” says Stephen Briers, editor-in-chief of Commercial Fleet magazine.

“It is unbeatable for flexibility, technology, safety, reliability, height/length options and breadth of range. On top of that, it provides an ideal platform for conversions.”

The Mercedes Citan and New Vito were highly commended in the small van and medium van categories, respectively.
