New Alexander Dennis Enviro200 low-emission bus for Bysiau Cwm Taf Valley Coaches

Alexander Dennis has supplied a new Enviro200 midibus to Welsh independent bus operator Bysiau Cwm Taf Valley Coaches.

The 8.9m long vehicle will be used on scheduled bus services in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. It offers passengers 25 fixed seats as well as five additional tip-up seats in the wheelchair bay and a separate buggy bay.

The low-emission bus is fitted with the manufacturer’s SmartPack efficiency technology to reduce exhaust emissions and enhance fuel economy.

It is the first new Alexander Dennis bus since 2018 for the family-owned business, which continues to be owned and managed by founders Clive and Heather Edwards who first established the company 35 years ago.

Clive Edwards said: “We have operated Enviro200 midibuses for many years, with their compact dimensions making them great buses for the country roads traversed by our services. This new bus upgrades the journey experience for our passengers with its modern interior while keeping our operating costs affordable and benefitting the environment.”
