New mobile workshop system developed by Volvo

Volvo's aftersales in the Northern Africa and Middle East (NAME) region has developed a mobile workshop system to combat the lack of an adequate service network.
According to Patrik Andrén, head of Volvo's aftersales and retail development for the NAME area, says the system is already able to service trucks ahead of finding a more permanent solution. "It is easy for newly established importers to move their workshop to the place where it is most needed," says Andrén. "At the same time, this self-sufficient system is ideal for the mining, gas and oil industries, for example, as they are frequently based in remote areas that are difficult to access," he adds. The mobile workshop system comprises modules for everything from service and lubrication to inventory, stock, office and changing-rooms.
