Hertz, ATS Euromaster and Route Monkey have become industry partners of the Freight Transport Association (FTA)-backed Van Excellence scheme.
Industry partners, which also help to promote the Van Excellence Code among their customers, are part of FTA's drive to encourage standards throughout the light commercial vehicle sector.
The trio will now work with FTA on several initiatives during 2013, including a Van Excellence supplement, developing best practice guides, and three new conferences.
"Hertz is delighted to strengthen their relationship with the FTA as Van Excellence industry partner for rental in 2013," comments commercial vehicle director Laura Moran. "The FTA Van Excellence code embodies the professional approach that Hertz delivers to its customers and this partnership supports our goal of raising standards."
Peter Fairlie, group sales director at ATS Euromaster, adds: "We're a network built to support van fleets, so it's a natural move for us to become the FTA's Van Excellence industry partner for tyres and fast-fit. Every day we're working with fleets to improve the efficiency of their service, maintenance and repair operations."
And Route Monkey CEO Colin Ferguson comments: "Route Monkey is proud to be the industry partner for routing and optimisation software. [Our] software can help van operators to adhere to the Van Excellence code by being significantly more efficient and much more flexible to meet changing customer demands."
