Building services business Ergro Group says it will consider Nissan's e-NV200 van for future vehicle replacements, after becoming the latest to take Nissan's '£2 Challenge'.
Ergro put the all-electric van through its paces in its air conditioning division to see how the van operates on a single £2 charge.
Engineer Charlie Morgan drove the fully loaded e-NV200 from the company's Dartford base to central London, where he completed a full day's worth of service calls before heading back.
The fuel bill amounted to £1.20's worth of the vehicle's full charge.
Ergro chairman Chris Wollen says: "We've been really impressed by the e-NV200 and what it can do.
"The running costs speak for themselves and are a real no-brainer, but there's a lot more to this van than cost savings.
"We'll definitely take a very close look at the e-NV200 when we next buy vehicles," he adds.
The e-NV200 is exempt from London's congestion charge and is viable for the Plug In Van Grant.
