Pub landlord shows generous spirit with lifts in Nissan electric van

A pub landlord is helping his regulars to get home safely this Christmas, by driving them in a seven-seater Nissan e-NV200 Combi.

Rafael Krasnodebski, owner of Ye Olde Malthouse Inn, Tintagel, Cornwall, already uses an e-NV200 panel van to collect stock for his pub and says his idea to transport regulars around in the Combi will promote the benefits of green motoring.

His van costs him around 2p per mile to run, so the festive passenger service won’t hit his profits.

“I’m a huge believer in electric vehicles and love the e-NV200. That’s why I came up with this idea of driving customers home after closing time,” says Krasnodebski.

“It’ll hardly cost me anything but will ensure visitors get back safe and sound over the Christmas and New Year period. It’s also a great opportunity to get others to experience electric motoring.”
