Waste management firm NJB Recycling has taken delivery of its first Euro 6 vehicle, a DAF CF 440 FAD 8x4 tipper/grab eight-wheeler for its basement excavation business.
The DAF CF is the latest of two DAF CF construction eight-wheelers, part of a £70,000 fleet investment programme by the Wimbledon-based operator. Other additions include three DAF skip-loaders and two tipper/grabs.
The new addition has tipper bodywork by Marshall and an Epsilon E120 crane and grab.
"We find the DAF chassis to be a tough and reliable vehicle," says Jamie Bowie, NJB's managing director, adding that driver feedback has also been positive, notably for the vehicle's manoeuvrability.
NJB's latest CF is supplied on a four-year hire purchase deal through dealer North West Trucks. Repair and maintenance will be carried out by local dealer HTC Croydon.
