The entire frontline fleet of Northamptonshire County Council Fire and Rescue Service vehicles is now running on Scania chassis, thanks to the addition of four new models.
Delivered by TruckEast, the latest four vehicles include a hookloader, equipped with a rear-steering axle for manoeuvrability, and a pumping appliance with Type B water tender bodywork.
This duo are joined by a combined aerial rescue platform (CARP), as well as an emergency rescue tender, fitted with rescue-master heavy-duty winching equipment and a Hiab truck-mounted crane for emergency rescue and recovery.
"It is more than 20 years since the first Scania appliance was delivered into the county and we are delighted that our relationship has developed to the point where the entire heavy appliance fleet now carries the Scania marque," says TruckEast's sales director, David Hall.
