Tyre manufacturer Giti Tire has secured its first European deals for original equipment fitments with vehicle manufacturers, including one with Peugeot Citroen for the Peugeot Partner and Citroen Berlingo vans.
The GT Radial Champiro VP1, in size 195/65R15 91T, will now be fitted to the Partner and Berlingo models.
Launched in May 2012, the GT Radial Champiro VP1 is described as a 'mainstream all-round' tyre.
Specifications include an advanced tread compound for high levels of grip in both wet and dry conditions, which also reduces rolling resistance for increased mileage.
Four deep tread grooves control water channelling and anti-hydroplaning, while an optimised tread block design with integral lateral grooves and sipes delivers quick steering response in cornering.
The other deal has been struck with Renault Nissan, for its Sandero 2 and Logan 2 passenger vehicles.
