Having installed more than 3,500 pits across the UK and Ireland, Premier Pits has received its first order from Africa.
Mel Burrell, managing director of Premier Pits, says the contract, from Angola, covers three 22m working pits and one 22m testing pit, along with pit accessories.
"With this order adding to our overseas experience, and our marketing team working in overdrive, we are looking forward to significant growth in international sales," comments Burrell.
Countries where Premier Pits' pits have been installed, sometimes by the workshops' own installations teams, include France, Norway, Holland and even Afghanistan.
Burrell makes the point that developing the business outside the UK has involved, amongst other things, overcoming transport problems, sourcing hired plant, unique ground conditions and linguistic differences.
