There will be two 32-tonne 8x4 tippers on show – one is a Tarmac-spec 13-litre C520 and the other an 11-litre C430 Tridem with steering axle for optimum manoeuvrability. Both trucks have PPG insulated aluminium aggregate bodies, configured for a range of multi-axle tipper operations.
The Range C Tridem, says Renault, gives operators the manoeuvrability of a six-wheeler with the load capacity of an eight-wheeler. Of note, the Tridem’s rear-lifting axle keeps the truck closer to the kerb than a traditional 8x4 when turning left, so reducing the risky gap for cyclists.
The third vehicle on Renault’s stand is a lightweight T460 lightweight 44-tonne 11-litre 6x2 tractor with mini mid-lift (MML). This, says Renault, is suitable for aggregate or liquid applications featuring a factory-fitted PTO and tipping equipment, and boosts payload as it’s half a tonne lighter than a standard 6.2 mid-lift.
All trucks are available with Euro 6 Step C-compliant engines, which can deliver reduced fuel costs of up to 2% while increasing payload by up to 114kg.
Visitors to Renault’s stand will be invited to join its campaign entitled #proudprofessionals, designed to boost the image of everyone working in the transport and logistics sector.
