Renault is to showcase three trucks from its tipper and bulk haulage ranges, with a Range T 460 6x2 tractor unit, alongside a 32-tonne Range K460 8x4 with Boweld Taperlite double skin grab steel tipping body, and a 32-tonne Range C 8x4 grab loader with Boweld body and Epsilon crane from customer L Lynch Plant Hire and Haulage.
Meanwhile, Volvo Trucks will be displaying two 8x4 tippers: a 8x4 day cab Volvo FMX, 13-litre, 420bhp, X-High (N3G) and a Boweld Taperlite steel tipper body with a PM Onboard weighing system; and an FM 11-litre 410bhp on-road High Chassis (N3) with a Wilcox Wilcolite insulated tipper body specified with CLOCS-compliant safety systems.
Thompsons intends to show: a new 8x4 Scania with a steel curved floor Multimaster body belonging to Yuill & Dodds; a new Volvo tipper with the Loadmaster Lite and Edbro CX15 tipping gear for North East operator Thompsons of Prudhoe; and an MAN eight wheeler chassis with Thompsons' full-spec Loadmaster (double skinned construction and four corner posts) and Hyva FC137 tipping gear
Thompsons is a also taking a second stand to focus on developments in tipper legislation, and in particular Whole Vehicle Type Approval. Operators and drivers will be able to talk to Thompsons staff about all the latest issues in tipper design and development – including in terms of tipper safety for urban environments.
