Renualt whole life cost clinches deal for FreightForce

Tractor Units
FreightForce Distribution has taken delivery of 10 Renault Premium 460.25 6x2 tractor units, after an evaluation suggested it scored on whole life costs.
Supplied by dealer Norfolk Truck and Van Norwich, with a full R&Mcontract, the new vehicles have replaced 2008-plate DAFs and Scanias, taking the number of Renault trucks on the 40-strong FreightForce fleet to 14. FreightForce managing director Edward Miles says the Norwich-based transport operator evaluated several truck marques, looking at factors ranging from fuel economy to reliability and cost. "The Premiums will replace DAFs and Scanias purchased at the front end of the recession when we took advantage of competitive packages offered by the truck manufacturers," says Miles. "Today, our decision is based on whole life costs and our structured procurement process set out to identify the best end-to-end deal for our business. The Renault Premium came out top."
