RHA wins assessor status for apprentice drivers

The Education and Skills Funding Agency (EFSA) has approved the Road Haulage Association’s application to become an End Point Assessment organisation.

Commenting, RHA deputy director of policy, Colin Snape said: “This will enable the RHA to assess the end of an apprenticeship for the new Large Goods Vehicle Driver Apprenticeship a new requirement for apprenticeships.

“We are now developing training and assessment material that can be used by members and other organisations and training providers.

Other end-point assessors listed as of October 2017 for that category include: Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance, Pearson Education, The Real Apprenticeship Company.

The register lists a number of other end-point assessors for other apprenticeships. They include:

  • Bus and coach engineering technician, level 3: the IMI
  • Heavy vehicle service and maintenance technician, level 3: the IMI
  • Light vehicle service and maintenance technician, level 3: City and Guilds, the IMI
