Hyndburn Borough Council has a target to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2030.

Michael Ainsworth, transport manager, Hyndburn Borough Council, said: “We are delighted to continue our longstanding relationship with SFS. They have been a steadfast fleet partner for the past 15 years and this contract will take us to 23 years.  We are confident that we are in safe hands with SFS. The support they provide is excellent and they are easy to work with.”

Bob Sweetland, managing director, SFS added: “It is fantastic news that we have been chosen again to continue as fleet partners to Hyndburn Borough Council. We remain committed to helping the council future proof its fleet operations and improve its environmental sustainability.”

SFS has been delivering fleet and workshop management solutions to local authorities for over 30 years and currently operates a network of 15 workshops across the UK, nine of which are based at council depots.

In January, the company opened a new depot in Wellington, Somerset to support customers in the area and to provide a maintenance hub for rental vehicles from its own specialist short term hire division, CTS Hire.  SFS has further plans to expand it workshop network in 2025.
